How to place an item on Reserve in the Music and Media Library
- In person (printable form requires Adobe Acrobat to view). Simply print and fill out this form and bring to the Heilbrun Music and Media Library.
- EUCLID request: Find the item you would like placed on reserve, click on "Request," select "Music&Media Request-Video, Audio, Books Scores," fill out the form and click "Place Request."
Reserves Direct
Items placed on reserve in the Heilbrun Music and Media Library are also included in Reserves Direct.
Within Reserves Direct, instructors have the capability to create new classes, reactivate items previously on reserve,
add crosslistings, create content notes, and sort items in their reserves desk by topic or type.
Electronic online reserves
- PDFs: Journal articles and book chapters may be placed online via Portable Document Format for reserves. How?
- Streamed Audio: Certain recordings can be digitized and placed online for reserves. How?

All reserve materials circulate within the library for two or three hours and must be returned to the Music and Media Library.
Overnight Circulation: Unless restricted, items (except visual materials) may circulate overnight if checked out no earlier than two hours before closing and returned within one hour after opening the next day.
Loan Limits:
Two reserve books and one reserve audiovisual material at a time.
Overdue Fines:
$1.00 per hour or portion of an hour.
