Why are reserve due dates important?
We use reserve due dates to prioritize which requests to work on first. Our goal is to ensure that your readings are available on time and date consistent with your syllabus. For example, if a reading is due to be discussed in class October 22nd, list a "reserve by" date of October 1st. This allows the Reserves staff to make materials available in a timely manner during the high-volume periods.
back to Reserves What if the book I want to request is not in EUCLID? Can I request that the library purchase the book to place on reserve?
Yes. Search the EUCLID catalog for the title. If the correct title doesn't appear, click on the oval button at the top of the screen called Buy For Reserve. Then click on "Buy book to place on general reserve." Fill in the form and click "Place Request."
If the item is related to Music Instruction, please contact the Heilbrun Library Staff or call Joyce Clinkscales at 404-727-1066.
Please note that although our Acquisitions Department is able to rush the ordering and cataloging of any item in our collection, we have little control over how quickly an order is received. It can take between 2 weeks and three months to order, receive, and catalog a book needed on reserve.
